Halloween!

We ended up going to my parent's house Friday afternoon to have plenty of time to let Aidan nap and get ready before "trick or treating". Aidan had three costumes to choose from and we honestly did not know if he was going to go at all. Aidan was really being a strong-minded two year old about the concept of wearing a costume.

Thursday his MDO class had their Halloween parade and party and Aidan wanted NO part of his adorable dinosaur costume that my mom had gotten him. So we pulled out last year's pumpkin costume, which he also wanted no part of. Hm. He ended up wearing a Halloween shirt instead - at least he was festive. That night we went to the store and got him a $12 Walmart pirate costume just in case. Here are some pictures I took at the party. Caleb and Aidan are quite the pair!








Friday evening we decided to try the dinosaur costume first and just played up the trick or treating idea instead of the costume. He really wanted to go and collect candy so we told him he needed to get dressed. period. It worked! Obviously we messed up on Thursday by making a big deal about the costume. I should have guessed that candy is a much more appealing incentive then some costume! HA!








Anyway, he LOVED going trick or treating! We left around 6:40 and did not get back until 8! His pumpkin bucket was full! He LOVED running up to the doors and knocking. Really, I was very surprised considering how he was acting the day before. What a little toot!
