Aidan and Kaetlyn had their issues in the beginning, but then they just clicked. Seeing them play together was really cute and several friends later asked me how watching twins was because they are only 3 months apart. Thursday we just hung out at the house, playing with all of Aidan's toys and running around outside. She was a doll and was SOO easy to put down for a nap and bed. Wow - what a difference from my power struggle with Aidan. Here are quite a few pictures from our day hanging around.
On Friday, my mother met up with us and we went to the zoo. After the zoo, my mom took over and brought Kaetlyn home with her for the evening and part of the following day.
We were able to get really close shots of a baby giraffe, which was awesome!
We also got to see one of my favorite animals, the Okapi. I first saw this cousin the the giraffe at the San Antonio zoo and was pleasantly surprised to see that the Houston zoo had two of them too!
We also were hitting the timing right by getting to see the "big cats" up close and personal.
We had to finish off the trip by going to the children's part of the zoo. Both the kids got their last bit of energy out by sliding and running around.
We visited the petting zoo where they got to meet the goats. Kaetlyn became fast friends with them and I thought the pictures were precious!
Aidan took a more cautious approach. You can definitely tell the difference between their personalities!
