It started on Thursday when my Grandmother, Aunt Kathy, Aunt Becky and cousin Emily flew down from Pennsylvania. So, off to my mom and Dad's house we went. My Aunt Kathy tries to make it down here as often as possible, so we are lucky to be able to see her every other year or so. But it has been two years since Aidan, my mom and I flew back east to see the rest of the family and probably 4-5 years before then. Logan was extremely happy and very quickly was a hit. He smiles and makes friends with everyone - quite a different personality from Aidan's, even at this age. It took a few minutes for Aidan to warm up, especially since he only had a 30 minute nap, but one present with a couple cool toys, a ball and some playmates later, Aidan was in heaven. What really struck me as funny was that Aidan really hit it off with my Grandmother. She played ball with him, play-acted animal sounds with him and even got on the floor and played blocks with him. It was adorable!! Mind you my 80+ year-old Grandmother's mind is not as sharp as it once was and she uses a walker most the time. Later that evening, before we headed home, my brother and his family drove in too.
This is my mom, Aunt Becky and Aunt Kathy preparing fajitas - another tradition!
This was too precious! Did I mention that my grandmother and Aidan hit it off that day?

I went over the next day with the boys to spend more time with the family and to, of course, play cards. Then, we went home during Aidan's nap time, so he could get some much needed rest before the rehearsal. My brother, Craig, and Kati, Kaetlyn and baby CJ came to our house before the rehearsal. They were to stay the rest of the weekend over here since my parent's house was pretty full and all the wedding festivities were on my side of town. Plus, Kaetlyn and Aidan have so much fun playing together!
It was wonderful having that time before the wedding to visit with the family. We miss them!
