Our Christmas celebration always begins on Christmas Eve in Beaumont. We decided to leave Ginger at home and so left after lunch to make sure we were not gone too many hours for her bladder to handle. :)
We headed first to Don and Tina's house (Papa and Nana) for a few hours before going over to Chris' Aunt Michelle and Uncle Mickey's house.
At this point I will mention that I managed to bring the camera, but left the battery charging in the kitchen. Oops. No pictures! I hope to snag a few from someone else, but haven't been on top of that yet.
Anyway, it was wild and exciting for everybody. This was a really fun year for Aidan. He is old enough to really get it and young enough to be sweet about everything. Seeing the look on his face with all the experiences this season has been priceless to me. Logan LOVED it all too. He loved the bows, the presents that stacked to climb on. Whenever we opened a new gift for him, especially if it was a toy, he would get all excited/interested in it. It was amazing! Of course I was also comparing Aidan's first Christmas experience where he screamed all evening with Logan's, which was completely calm. Poor Katelyn was stressed from all the commotion (which also happened to Aidan at his first Christmas at about the same age) and so did not make it all the way through as a happy little girl. Aimee also stacked up with lots of presents and had so much fun playing with all her cousins.
Aidan and Logan were of course VERY spoiled by everyone. Aidan got, among other things, more train tracks, Monty the T-Rex, Little Einstein laptop, a personalized book, balls, you name it. He LOVED it all! Logan got silly town, music station, talking puppy dog, phones, clothes, and MANY other things. Whew - it was a really good thing we emptied out the trunk!
Even though this year we were the last ones to leave, we got back home at 11 pm. A whole hour earlier than last year! Thank goodness. We were tired and still had to gear up for Santa's visit.
We had a fabulous time with everybody and want to thank everyone for making it a truly memorable night!
