Fort Worth Weekend

Last weekend, we decided to venture north to Fort Worth to visit our friends, Jay and Julie (they are the Newtons under my friends list). They have a son, Bailey, who is just a little older than Aidan, so we love seeing them interact together. Julie is also pregnant with their second son, Blake, and is actually only 3 days ahead of me in the pregnancy. It looks as if we planned this, huh? Let's just say that Rucker-Newton get togethers are about to become a whole lot more interesting. That is why we decided to get together one more time before we both have another boy to add in the mix.

We ended up leaving bright and early Saturday morning around 4:30 am to get there in time for Julie's brunch-time baby shower. It was a very early start, which I prefer to a late evening drive. Once we got to the Newton's house, Aidan and Bailey hit it off. Julie had been prepping Bailey saying that a friend was coming to stay the weekend and play with him. Pretty much instantly they took off playing together. Bailey kept on calling him "his friend". It was really cute!

I brought my camera with me and only managed to take a few shots of the boys. Here is them playing with the window coverings in the dining room yelling "surprise!" at one another.

We left around 2-ish on Sunday and were so happy that we scheduled this trip! We love the Newtons! Thank you for letting us crash at your place!!
