Pennsylvania - Day One - Getting There

Getting to Pennsylvania with two busy boys was an experience for sure, but it went surprisingly smoothly. When we got through security and onto the plane, we discovered we did not necessarily need the portable dvd player we had because the plane had "cable" tv behind each seat. Um . . . luxury, for sure. They had a preview of it going until we were up in the air, so both boys were kept busy watching the Disney channel and eating gummy worms (to help with their ears).

When the preview went off, I decided I was NOT going to pay $6 for it to continue when we had our movie player we brought with us. However, at some point in the 3 hour flight, this happened . . . Aidan wanted to visit my mom in the row ahead of us. She spoils her grand kids as any grandmother should and got it going for Aidan. oh well.

Logan took full advantage of the space and wanted to lay down, which turned into a much needed nap. Whew - glad that happened.

I love my Aunt and Uncle's house, especially the backyard, which got even more enticing since they added a big, wrap-around porch to the back. They back up to a corn field, which gives the whole area a beautiful, quiet (until my kids :), natural feel. Very different from what I am used to! Here we are catching up on the porch.

(Uncle Gene, my Dad, Aunt Kathy)

(Same, plus Chris, my Grandmother and Emily - the bride to be)

My boys LOVED the backyard too and got a lot of play out of them after being cooped in the airport, plane and van on the way there.

We were so glad to be there and hang out with everyone. What a treat!!
