Halloween Part Two

After dinner it was time to get the kids changed into their Halloween costumes. Logan made his debut as a monkey (Aidan's first costume!) and Aidan was super excited to be spiderman. This was the first year where he got to choose. Kind of sad on my part. :) This year we were also able to get several uses out of that costume too! This always makes me happy. We went to Boo Zoo (obviously at the zoo) where all the kids dressed up. He also wore it to his school's Halloween party.

Here is a picture of the superhero and the princess. OMG - so ADORABLE! Unfortunately, the mask only lasted as long as it took to take that picture.

CJ was a lion, which just suited him perfectly. He was perfectly content in the carrier the whole time. I think he was mesmerized by all the activity.

Our friends, the Fishers, came over to trick-or-treat with us. Jacob and Bella were so cute! Jacob was Scooby Doo and Bella was Minnie mouse. Even Will and Shaun dressed up - Will was a king and Shaun was Bella from Twilight. So fitting. Thank you for coming you guys!

Trick-or-treating started off slowly and then the kids got the hang of it. Aidan was having too much fun with Kaetlyn and Jacob! I really think he could have kept going, but we (the parents) were starting to get tired. And, who needs that much candy? We all know who really eats it anyway.

Funny story: they all went up to one house and the lady opened up the door in the scream costume. Aidan turned around and high tailed it back to us as fast as he could. He didn't scream, but the look on his face was priceless. Actually, Jacob ran too. The only brave one . . . Kaetlyn. HA!! For the next couple houses Aidan and Jacob would knock on the door and run. So funny.

During all of this excitement, Logan was fast asleep in the stroller. He woke up at the end and was ready to go back to the house though, which also prompted the end of the trick-or-treating.

Even though there were not quite as many houses participating as the last couple of years, there were still plenty to make it fun for the kids. Aidan still talks about how he was Spiderman and then proceeds to tell me he wants to be a bad witch for Halloween next year. Hmmm. I am trying to convince him he could at least be a good one, and maybe we should call him a wizard. I have no idea where this came from.
